Mastering Calcudoku

What is Calcudoku (Mathdoku)?
Calcudoku is a logic-based math puzzle. While it shares the "no-repeat" rule of Sudoku, it introduces "cages" with mathematical operators (+, -, ×, ÷). You must use basic arithmetic to reach the target number shown in each cage.
Is Calcudoku the same as KenKen®?
Yes, the gameplay is identical. KenKen® is the trademarked name. Calcudoku is the widely accepted open-source name for this brain-training format, often referred to as Math Sudoku.
Can numbers repeat in a cage?
Crucial Rule: A number can repeat within a single cage, but it can never repeat in the same row or column. This is the #1 strategy used to solve puzzles.
How do I solve subtraction and division cages?
For subtraction (-) and division (÷) cages, the order does not matter. If a 2-cell cage has a target of 3-, the numbers could be (5, 2) or (2, 5), as long as the difference is 3.
Are these puzzles free to play?
100%. Daily Logic Games provides unlimited, free Calcudoku challenges. We generate new puzzles daily across Easy (4x4), Medium (6x6), and Hard (9x9) difficulties.
